Happy Birthday Scotty!!

I'm not over my baby turning 5 and now I have to face my oldest turning 9!!!  Scotty has had a very fun year.  He started Scouts and was so excited!  He had already earned his Bobcat when he went to his first den meeting!  He has had fun in scouts and especially at summer camp where he came home covered in dirt from head to toe!!  He was baptized and that was an awesome experience.  He has tried his best to make good choices and to follow the commandments.  He played soccer last spring and was excited to get another medal.  He is still in karate and loves it.  He has progressed to a purple belt (white, orange, green, blue, purple, red, brown, black) and is excited to someday be a black belt!  He does well in school and works hard but hates homework!  He loves to read and has read a lot of books this year including the first 3 Harry Potter books which he had trouble putting down!
Scotty still love Star Wars and has really enjoyed helping his little brothers learn all about it.  He is an awesome big brother and gets along really well with Grant and Collin.  They both love to play with him and look up to him.  Scotty is a good friend to others and is well liked at school.  He is fun to hang out with and loves to tell you all about things he is excited about!  He is funny and makes us laugh.  He is a good helper to me at home and is always willing to help his brothers.
He loves Minecraft, Star Wars, Ninjago, riding his bike and scooter, jumping on the trampoline, rock climbing, swimming, Legos, drawing, history, science, rock hunting, Spongebob and cookie dough!

We love you so much Scotty!  We hope you have an awesome birthday!

Happy Birthday Collin!!

My baby is 5!!!!!  How did this happen??  I may be a bit sad, but Collin is super duper excited to be 5!  He couldn't stop jumping up and down in anticipation while getting dressed for bed tonight!
This past year Collin started preschool.  He didn't love it.  No biggie- he will warm up to it, I thought.  But he didn't and soon was really hating it and saying the kids were mean.  After some time and talking to the teachers we decided to switch preschools.  It was a hard decision and we felt good about it but still wondered.  But it didn't take long to know that we made the right decision.  He LOVES his new preschool!  He is so excited to go and has so much fun while he is there.  We really didn't want to start off his long years of schooling with a negative, so we are so relieved that he is happy at preschool now.  He is starting to read and loves doing schoolwork.  (We'll see how long that lasts!!)
In the fall Collin started soccer.  It was so much fun to watch- that age group is hilarious!!  His team didn't have many players so for most of the games he would play the entire game without breaks besides halftime, but he did really well.  He didn't complain even though he was tired.  He's a trooper!
Collin had swimming lessons and really gained confidence in the water this year.  He loves to swim on his own without arm floaties and has no trouble swimming underwater.  He has a great dolphin move that is funny to watch!   He is also a climber- he loves to climb on anything and everything.  He was able to do a little bit of rock climbing this year with daddy and he had a lot of fun.
He loves Luigi, Star Wars, Paw Patrol, riding his scooter, being outside, jumping on the trampoline, reading and watching things about the Titantic and the Hubble Space Telescope, eating sweets, playing the wii, having books read to him, being tickled, animals and being with his family.
Collin is such a great kid.  He tries really hard to make good choices and to do what we ask him to do.  He is very affectionate and loves to give me kisses and blow them on, which I LOVE!  He is definitely a mommy's boy!  He is so funny and makes me laugh all day long. He loves his brothers
and plays so well with them.  He is easy going and likes to make people happy.  He really is an awesome kid and is a joy to have in our family.

Happy Birthday Snugglebum!!  We love you to the moon and back!!

Happy Birthday Grant!

6 years old!!  Our adorable little Grant is not so little anymore. He is so excited to be 6!  Grant has had an exciting year.  He graduated from preschool in the spring and started kindergarten in the fall.  He loves kindergarten and his favorite subject is reading.  He loves his long day when he gets to go to art, music, lunch and to have two recesses!  He has lots of friends and is a very social boy.  During the summer he had surgery to fix his hammer toe.  He had to have a cast on for a little over a month and he did great with it.  The cast didn't slow him down at all.  He was able to do pretty much anything he wanted except swimming.  We were all amazed at how well he got around in that thing!  He was so brave for his surgery and the recovery.  He played soccer in the spring and the fall and loved it.  Grant still loves Mario.  He was very excited when he was able to beat Bowser and save Princess Peach in Super Mario Galaxy!  He is quite a good video game player.  He loves to jump on the trampoline.  He loves his stuffed animals and plays with them a lot.  His favorite color is red and his favorite food is chicken.  He is still a good cuddler and loves to give hugs.  He tells us he loves us all the time.  He is a very sweet boy.  He is a good brother and plays very well with Scotty and Collin.  He has a good sense of humor and makes us laugh with the silly things he does and says.
We love Grant soooo much!  Have an awesome birthday Buddy!!!

Grant's preschool graduation

We all had fun at Grant's preschool graduation.  (back in May- better late than never, right?)  He was excited to sing all the songs he has been practicing.  And we were surprised to see in the program that he would be leading the Pledge of Allegience!!  He did a great job!

He has done really well at preschool.  He had a best buddy and he seemed to like a lot of the other kids in his class.  He did well learning his letters and numbers and passed all the end of year requirements.  He is super excited to start kindergarten.  Unlike me!!

We are so proud of Grant.  He is awesome!

He is sitting behind the boy in the sombrero.  He sat with a somber look most of the time!  But he said he had a fun time.  All the songs were really cute and I enjoyed watching all the cute kids.

He sang his little heart out!

That face!  I can't help but kiss those adorable cheeks!
