Anniversary/ family trip

For our anniversary trip this year we went back to the same place in Park City that we stayed at last year. Miles and I spent two nights there and had a nice, relaxing time. We slept in (which was heaven!!), saw Pirates 3 and had fun spending time together without a million requests for drinks and a gazillion diaper changes!

It is so beautiful there. We love it.

The hotel had a special in May for stay 2 nights and get the 3rd night free. We decided to go get the kids from Grandma and Grandpa's house and bring them up for the 3rd night. After the initial let down that their surprise wasn't a toy, they were excited! We had a fun time with them and they want to move in there.
Grant didn't want to get in the hot tub again this year. Swimming lessons start next week- I wonder how loud he's going to scream and cry?? Scotty and Collin LOVED the hot tub and we spent a long time playing in there.

He had a great time just sticking his arms in to play in the water. He also loved turning the jets on and off and cleaning the control pad.

We had to go out to climb and run.

Collin climbing up the rocks.

Grant pointing out the no climbing on the rocks sign!

We had a small miracle when we got them to stand still long enough to take one picture.

Getting them to all smile or all look at the camera is a miracle that we are still waiting for.

Scotty fell in love with the robe. He looks pretty cute in it!

Grant took some time to rest and watch Spongebob. I don't think he was feeling well- poor guy!

Collin and I were still in the hot tub! We were singing Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree and splashing each other with the popcorn popping actions. So fun!

Unfortunately, we could only stay one night. So the next morning we had to load up all our stuff and head home. We love vacations!!

11 years

Happy Anniversary Miles!
Thanks for being brave enough to take a big leap
with me 11 years ago! I love you!!

On our anniversary this year we are going to go to the wedding of my cousin in the Salt Lake City temple. That will be so fun to attend a sealing on the 11th anniversary of our sealing. I am so grateful that families are forever and that I can be with my amazing husband and our boys as an eternal family.

Muffin Tin Monday

Muffin Tin Monday at Muffintinmom.com

Today is Scotty's first official day of summer vacation so we've been having a fun day not having to get ready for school! When I said it was lunch time Scotty asked what day it is and when I said Monday he went over and got the muffin tins out- great idea! I was scrambling to get lunch stuff together. I think a trip to the grocery store is in order.

The boys had multi grain Club crackers, peas, a drink, ham on a sword pick, apples and applesauce.

Last night at dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's house, they had a fun pirate dinner for the grandkids. They had bandanas, eye patches, swords and a treasure hunt. The boys loved it and today I have 3 little pirates eating lunch!

Stop by Muffin Tin Mom to see more MTMs.

Mother's Day

I had a nice Mother's Day. I had my Mom and Dad over for dinner on Saturday night and we had a fun time with them. On Sunday my boys gave me some flowers, a book and they drew me cute pictures. Scotty also had a card that he painted and a picture he painted with his handprints made into flowers that he made at school. Collin had a cute little thing he made in nursery. I need to scan them and post them- they are adorable. They were all excited to wish me happy Mother's Day and were so sweet all day. Miles was great and made a delicious dinner and a yummy chocolate cake. I'm the luckiest Mom!!!

Looking back at some of our pictures I realized that I don't have many with me and the boys. So I begged them to take a nice picture with me for Mother's Day. (They're not fans of having their picture taken- which is why most of our pictures are candids!) They all complied and I got some cute ones.

We had to do a silly one. They're fun!

Becca- here are some so you can compare. Do any of my boys look like me??

Narcolepsy?

I have found Grant and Collin in some funny sleeping situations lately. It's like they are messing around one minute and out like a light the next!

Here's an old one of Scotty when he was three.

I wish I could fall asleep so easily like that!

Painting

For Easter the boys got some new paint and they each got a wooden letter of their first name initial. After putting them off for a few days I finally let them paint them. Letting them paint is always something that seems daunting and I avoid it, but then when we do paint it ends up being fun and not really a big deal. Why don't I remember this when they ask to paint the next time?? They had a great time and were really proud of their letters.

After they were done with their letters they painted on the paper that covered the table. They loved that and we kept it on the table for a few days. Grant ended up pretending his paintbrush was a truck or something and drove it all over- almost wearing through the paper!

When Collin added white onto his painting he was excited and said "I did that!"

I think Scotty ended up using every single color and every part of his hands!

Here are the finished products.

Easter pics

We had a fun Easter. We did our baskets Sat morning and later went to my parent's Easter egg hunt- and forgot our camera, so no pictures of that :-( The boys had a lot of fun finding the eggs. Sunday we watched a video about Jesus and the boy asked lots of questions about the resurrection. It was nice.

Their Easter goodies.

Checking out their stuff.

For some reason when the other two ran out to see their baskets, Collin went into his room and cried!

When he realized he was getting stuff he calmed down.

Coloring eggs.

We had an Easter dinner of fondue- yummy!

I made deviled eggs for the first time. Nobody wanted to try them. Maybe because they looked disgusting??
